Synopsis: Alice, now 19 years old, returns to the fantasy world she has discovered when she was a child. There, she meets her friends the White Rabbit, White Cap and White Hat, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course, the Mad Hatter. Leaving the room I am, however, stayed on my hunger. I would not say that this was a movie missed, far from the. But I find it lacking a spark as if the genius of Tim Burton had been clamped by the machine Walt Disney, as if his fantasy world had been set aside to meet the draconian rules imposed by the major American, in order to appeal to the largest number.
The achievement of Alice in wonderland is clean, the scenes are well done. The soundtrack is pretty average, but nothing catastrophic. I will also tell you that the game of actors is very good. Johnny Depp (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus), it’s always so good to play roles shifted that flirt with madness. Helena Bonham Carter (Harry Potter) also pulls out of the lot. On other hand, the young actress who plays Alice, Mia Wasikowska does not seem at his ease. Her acting is nothing special, and one begins to think that another young Hollywood star would have been able to do the same thing, or even better.

Good intentions
Fans of Tim Burton, you’ll be thrilled to find his dark and melancholic, mixing live-action and computer-generated images. Decor beautiful and colored to perfection, the characters in the perfect aesthetic, everything was there to make an original film. It should also be noted that the sound produced by the wonderful Danny Elfman (who also produced most of the soundtracks of the films of Tim Burton) is new, and as often always so mesmerizing. But the genius of Tim Burton is not everything. I, for my part, was very disappointed with the conduct of this story, however, seemed sympathetic before its release. Maybe too attached to the famous novel, I have not found the characters and their initial characters in the film. In addition, an accumulation of lengths endless takes place over minutes caused by a lack of energy obvious.
A scenario disappointing
Far from the fairy tale of Lewis Carroll, Tim Burton gives its adaptation a modern touch. He was finally close enough to the fantastic movies of our day, such as the Lord of The Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, or Harry Potter (the fantasy world, the war between the good guys and bad guys…)
We expect, first of all, a great movie, with a character and a universe of his own, but it is not clear from this film that a scenario quite thin and quite disappointing when it remains attached to the novel. We lose the thread of the scenario as and as the film progresses, as well as his patience; few surprises, few funny moments… for a movie for young and less young, the film is lagging behind in length!
An adaptation that, in my opinion, takes over especially the characters, but that is too far away from the initial story by their function is often futile.
Although from my point of view, the role of each is to the less boring, we can find games of actors remarkable as those of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, or Anne Hathaway, the performances of which interpretations are no longer to prove. Mia Wasikowska (Alice), meanwhile, proves to be too much erased and hesitant in its role to which one feels the slightest attachment to his respect during his journey.
